Greetings!
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are writing to ask for your support for the 2nd Annual Black Women’s Life Balance and Wellness Conference. Geared toward black women who are seeking life and career balance and personal wellness, this year’s theme is Without Apology: Free and Balanced. The goal of the conference is to provide career advice, life balance strategies, and networking opportunities for women across professional and academic fields. Black women will have the opportunity to build collaborations by sharing their own expertise in areas such as life-coaching, mental and physical fitness, and organizational strategies for career success. The conference will take place July 13-15, 2012 at the Atlanta University Center in Atlanta, GA.
The Black Women’s Life Balance and Wellness Conference distinguishes itself from other conferences by utilizing the talents and skills of its attendees, women hailing from an expansive array of academic and professional fields, as presenters. This allows attendees/presenters to share their common struggles as well as their strategies for success. Additionally, we are thrilled to announce that the conference will feature prominent public relations expert Terrie Williams and Dr. Nancy J. Williams. Terrie Williams is a social worker by training and the author of four books, including Black Pain: It Just Looks Like We’re Not Hurting (Scribner, 2008). Dr. Nancy J. Williams is the Visionary/CEO of First Fruit Natural Healing Home, founder of On Purpose Foundation, and host of the Holistic Health radio show on Love 860 AM, Atlanta, GA.
Your support and contribution will enhance the quality of our program, speakers and materials. Your contribution will support refreshments and/or meal breaks for conference attendees, as well as our speakers’ honoraria and travel costs. Given the overwhelming success of our first annual conference, we are confident that this year’s conference will enable participants to obtain concrete skills for balancing work, family, health and wellness, and their personal lives as they move forward with their careers.
We are willing to give a personalized presentation either in person, via teleconference or Skype in order to highlight the common interests between you/your organization and The Black Women’s Life Balance and Wellness Conference.
Please see our sponsorship levels for more details. All donations are tax-deductible. Additionally, you can find us online at www.lifebalanceconference.com.
Cordially,
