The mission of the Annual National Black Women’s Life Balance and Wellness Conference is to provide a safe, honest, and intergenerational space where women of all backgrounds can explore challenges to and strategies for life balance and wellness. We’re overjoyed to build on and continue this work with our 5th annual, national gathering this fall.

Since our inaugural conference, we’ve explored the strong Black woman, freedom, wisdom, and beauty. This year, we celebrate and appreciate how far we’ve come.  Our 2015 theme is Wellness Renewal: Celebrating a New Era for Black Women’s Well-Being.

Invitation to Presenters

We invite women of African descent to celebrate the strides we’ve made and share practical, actionable tools, guidance and inspiration to help Black women keep going. Despite challenges, tragedies and trauma, Black women are choosing to make optimal wellness a priority.

How can we take first steps into wellness? How can we help ourselves and our sisters continue the journey, as we face obstacles at work, at home, in relationships, and in the depths of our inner beings? What strategies can move us to renew our commitment to loving ourselves and leading our best lives?

We welcome your proposals for interactive workshops, panels  or movement sessions. All presentation slots are 60 minutes. Proposal abstracts should be 100-125 words and must include an explanation of your session and its alignment with the theme: Wellness Renewal: Celebrating a New Era for Black Women’s Well-Being. You will also select your session’s primary wellness connection as well as your desired format.

The invitation to presenters is open until June 15, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Acceptance letters will go out by July 15, 2015.
